We’ve gotten some feedback from the field on our new 17” product line. This was the 1st use, for residential, of the 17” iForm, as these forms were about bought the day we released the product for sale! It’s for a home in the “Divide Ranch Community” way up on the mountains in Ridgeway, CO, built by Nick Miles Construction.

They were used for a foundation on a side of a steep hill. The engineer called for this size of ICF due to the large size of walls, the amount of back fill and the expansive soil type surrounding the building. The walls are 14 feet high and the concrete was placed in 3 lifts. Nick, the builder, said that he was “very impressed with the strength and stability of the block.”

Thanks Nick, we’ve done our research to make sure our forms remain an industry leading ICF!

We were lucky enough to meet this builder after he expressed his displeasure with a different brand of ICFs. He praised the pre-formed block and noted it was much easier in the field to work with as he did not have to assemble the forms. On a side note: Nick, had no trouble moving the forms about 50 yards from where the truck dropped them off, and the banding made them easier to move as well. Did you see the video of an ICF crew unloading a truck?

Thanks for the pictures and your feedback Nick! Would also like to thank Pat Tobin with Building Smart, LLC on his involvement with our inaugural 17″ residential project!

Currently the 17″ iForm has been a HUGE hit (pun WAS intended on that one) and we look forward to sharing more stories.

Hello everyone, as you may have already known our 17” iForm straight and extended corner are ready to go. We told everyone through email first…do you get our emails? Well you should sign up, but make sure to come back and continue reading….

Reward’s newest size of Insulated Concrete Form, features a 12” concrete core for additional strength and durability needed when designing and constructing large commercial projects and deep foundations.

The 17” iForm product line allows for the expansion of the available application uses of ICFs by allowing for taller walls (how big do you want to go?) and additional load bearing strength.

The 17″ iForm, featuring a 12″ concrete core, offers up to 20% additional pure axial or load bearing capacity, AND up to 24% additional pure flexural or bending strength than the a 10″ concrete wall.

“The addition of the 17” iForm increases the construction options for our customers and their projects, while also maintaining the quality and the sustainable green building properties our customers have come to expect from Reward’s products,” said Ed Storm, Reward Wall Systems’ President.

Available as both the straight and 90-degree extended corner iForm®, the 17” Straight is 16 inches high and covers 5.33 square feet of wall, and the 17” iForm Corner will be an extended corner covering 7.33 square feet of wall (holy moly that’s huge) and contain Reward Wall Systems award winning double “H” bridging corner bracket, which is the undisputed strongest corner in the Insulating Concrete Form market.

Do you have Block envy?
